Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Samburu National Reserve
Set off on a journey aboard your safari jeep towards the northern circuit, known for its untouched wilderness. Arrive in time for lunch and check into your safari camp or lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in search of Samburu’s unique wildlife including the Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk gazelle and Somali ostrich, as well as lions, elephants, and more. The Ewaso Nyiro River, lined with doum palms and green vegetation, sustains life in this arid landscape. Return to your camp before sunset.

Days 2-3: Samburu National Reserve
Spend a full day exploring the Samburu ecosystem, home to large elephant herds and big cats. The greater Samburu region connects seamlessly with Buffalo Springs and Shaba Reserves, allowing wildlife to roam freely. Enjoy game drives across the varied landscapes, from lava terraces and dry dustlands to areas with natural springs. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Meru National Park
Depart Samburu and travel to the scenic Meru National Park, covering 870 km² of pristine wilderness crisscrossed by rivers flowing from the Tana River the longest river in Kenya at nearly 1,000 km. Meru is famous as the home of Elsa the Lioness, raised by George and Joy Adamson and immortalized in the movie *Born Free* (1966). Visit the Adamson Campsite, where Elsa’s grave lies alongside part of Joy Adamson’s ashes. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, then head out for an afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five.

Day 5-6: Meru National Park - Full Day
Spend a full day exploring Meru’s diverse landscapes and wildlife-rich habitats. Look out for lions, rhinos, leopards, buffalos, elephants and an impressive array of birdlife supported by the park’s many rivers.

Day 7: Solio Ranch Conservancy
After breakfast, journey south towards the Aberdare foothills to visit Solio Ranch, a private conservancy established in 1970 for breeding black and white rhinos. Set between the Aberdare ranges and the slopes of Mount Kenya, Solio offers exceptional wildlife viewing, including lions, cheetahs, zebras, and abundant antelope. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in this scenic reserve.

Day 8-11: Masai Mara National Reserve
Depart for the legendary Masai Mara, one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations, renowned for its annual wildebeest migration and dramatic predator-prey encounters at the Mara River. Enjoy picnic lunches under acacia trees or meals at your safari camp. Spend three nights with morning and afternoon game drives exploring the abundant wildlife of the Mara, including the Big Five.

Day 12: Nairobi - The Safari Capital+Coffe Farm Visit
Drive back to Nairobi, Kenya’s vibrant capital often called the ‘Safari Capital of Africa’. Enjoy lunch amidst the lush gardens of Fairview Coffee Estate, soaking in the serene landscapes and tropical flora. Following lunch, embark on a guided tour of the coffee farm, learning about the cultivation, harvesting, and processing of Kenyan coffee, and experience the rich aromas and flavors straight from the estate. Checking at your city hotel-Boulevard or equivalent. You shall be picked up once more for your romantic diner at the renowned Carnivore Restaurant, celebrated for its African-style grilled meats. Return to your city hotel for overnight.

Day 13: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
Head south to Amboseli National Park, famous for its iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its massive elephant herds. Stop at bustling local markets along the way. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge and spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or enjoying a siesta before an afternoon game drive. Spot elephants against the dramatic Kilimanjaro backdrop as well as cheetahs, lions, zebras, hyenas and abundant bird species.

Day 14: Amboseli - Full Day
Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli’s scenic landscapes of acacia-dotted plains and marshlands. Capture unforgettable photographs of elephants with Kilimanjaro as your backdrop.

Day 15: Amboseli - Tsavo West National Park
Continue southwards to Tsavo West National Park, part of Kenya’s largest conservation area, famous for the legend of the ‘Man-Eaters of Tsavo’. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, then embark on an afternoon game drive through its scenic acacia woodlands, lava-strewn plains and riverine habitats. Tsavo West is also a haven for birdwatchers with over 400 recorded species.

Day 16: Tsavo West National Park
Enjoy an early morning game drive in Tsavo West National Park, home to vast savannahs, volcanic landscapes, and abundant wildlife. Look out for elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and diverse antelope species. Stop for photo opportunities at scenic highlights like Mzima Springs, where clear waters attract hippos and crocodiles. Return to your lodge for a hot lunch, or choose a packed lunch for a bush picnic amidst the park’s wilderness. Continue your afternoon game drive, exploring areas like Sheep Rock and the lush riverine habitats, before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 17: Full Day Safari - Tsavo West National Park
Spend another full day exploring Tsavo West with morning and afternoon drives. Visit the dramatic Chyulu Hills for panoramic views, or track wildlife along the rivers and open plains. Enjoy the rich birdlife and encounter predators and large herbivores in their natural habitats. Pause for a hot lunch at your lodge, or take a packed lunch into the bush for a more immersive safari experience. Continue game viewing in the afternoon, then return to your lodge for your final dinner in the park.

Day 18: Tsavo East National Park
Explore the vast Tsavo East National Park, one of Africa’s largest and oldest wildlife reserves, characterized by flat semi-arid plains. Look out for the famous ‘Red Elephants’ and the rare black-maned lions. Arrive for lunch at your safari camp before an afternoon game drive to spot its diverse wildlife.

Day 19: Tsavo East - Full Day
Spend a full day exploring Tsavo East’s highlights including the Aruba Dam, Mudanda Rock, Galana River, and Lugard Falls. Lunch will be at your camp or served as a picnic in the wilderness.

Day 20: Journey to the Coast - Diani Beach
Enjoy an early morning game drive to catch the big cats while they’re most active. After breakfast, depart Tsavo East and head to the Kenyan coast. Arrive at Diani Beach in time for lunch at your seaside resort, where palm-lined white sands meet the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. The afternoon is at leisure for relaxation by the beach.

Day 21 & 22: Diani Beach Retreat
Spend two full days relaxing at the idyllic Diani Beach. Enjoy the exotic coastal paradise with sparkling white sands shaded by swaying palm trees.

Meals: Dinner & Breakfast (Half Board)

Day 23: Flight Back Home
After breakfast, transfer to Mombasa for your internal flight back to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in time for your onward journey home.
