Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1:Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport in the morning and begin your journey through Kenya’s scenic Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your camp,Talek Bush Camp, in time for lunch. After a short rest, embark on your first afternoon game drive across the endless plains of the Mara, in search of elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and herds of wildebeest and zebras grazing in the vast savanna.

Return to your camp at sunset for dinner and overnight.

Days 2: Full Day in Masai Mara

Spend a full day exploring the spectacular wildlife haven of the Masai Mara. After an early breakfast, set off on a game drive carrying packed lunch boxes to allow you to enjoy uninterrupted wildlife viewing. The Mara is home to Africa’s “Big Five”- lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos – as well as abundant antelope species and over 400 bird species. During the migration season (July–October), you might witness the dramatic wildebeest crossings of the Mara River, one of nature’s greatest spectacles.

Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Days 3: Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha, located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Mwanzo Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat safari on Lake Naivasha, where you’ll spot hippos wallowing in the shallows and a variety of waterbirds gliding across the lake’s surface. Continue to Crescent Island, a private wildlife sanctuary, for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.

Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha - Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, depart Naivasha and drive south through scenic highlands and rural farmlands to Amboseli National Park, famous for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro and large herds of elephants. Arrive at Sentrim Amboseli Camp in time for lunch. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, and other plains game roaming the open grasslands beneath the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro.

Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Amboseli - Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive to Tsavo West National Park, one of Kenya’s most scenic and geologically fascinating reserves. The park’s landscape is a tapestry of volcanic hills, lava flows, and open savannahs that reveal the dramatic history of its formation.

En route, visit the Mzima Springs, a series of natural pools fed by underground streams flowing from Mount Kilimanjaro. The crystal-clear waters emerge through porous lava rocks, forming tranquil pools surrounded by palm and fig trees. From the underwater viewing chamber, you can observe hippos and crocodiles gliding silently through the water, a refreshing oasis in the heart of Tsavo. Beyond its beauty, Mzima Springs serves as a vital source of drinking water for the coastal city of Mombasa.
-Continue your journey across the Chyulu Hills, an awe-inspiring volcanic range that stretches between Amboseli and Tsavo West. Formed by hundreds of ancient volcanic eruptions, these rolling green slopes are dotted with craters and cones, a reminder of Kenya’s fiery geological past. The region is home to the Leviathan Cave, one of the world’s longest lava tubes, and supports a thriving ecosystem of elephants, buffalo, and rich birdlife among its acacia woodlands and valleys.

Arrive at Ngulia Safari Lodge in time for lunch and a moment to relax. In the late afternoon, enjoy a leisurely game drive through Tsavo’s varied terrain in search of elephants, lions, and other plains game. As night falls, return to the lodge where, with some luck, you may witness the spectacular sight of a leopard drawn to a piece of meat hung near the lodge, a tradition that has fascinated visitors for decades and offers one of Tsavo’s most unique evening experiences.

Day 6: Tsavo West - Kilaguni serena/Severin Camp

Begin your day with an early breakfast at the lodge then set out for a morning game drive in Tsavo West National Park, where you can spot elephants, ions, buffalo, and the park’s dramatic landscapes, including the Mzima Springs and lava flows. Check in at Kilaguni Serena Lodge or Severin Kitani Camp in time for a leisurely lunch. Take a short rest and enjoy the lodge’s amenities, such as the pool, observation decks, or panoramic views. From the comfort of your lodge or terrace, observe animals at the waterhole in a peaceful and unforgettable scene

After some relaxation, head out for an evening game drive in Tsavo West, capturing wildlife at sunset. Return to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Depart to Nairobi/Coast

Wake up for an optional early morning game drive to enjoy the park at its most active and serene time. Return for breakfast and take time to freshen up before checking out and and continuing your journey, either back to Nairobi or onward to the coast. Big chances of spotting game wildlife along the way, before your exit. Lunch/picnic enroute.

Drop off at your respective hotel or airport marks the end of your safari.
