Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival - Kilimanjaro Airport
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet and greet by your safari guide. Transfer to your lodge located near the airport. Relax and recover from your flight while enjoying views of Mt. Kilimanjaro (weather permitting).
Overnight: KIA Lodge or Moivaro Coffee Lodge
Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast (Dinner at own expense)
Days 2: Transfer to Karatu - Optional Activities
After breakfast, depart for Karatu, the gateway to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Arrive for lunch at Octagon Lodge and enjoy free time at leisure.
Optional afternoon activities (extra cost each at 45$pp):
- Visit the local farmlands
- Guided hike to Endoro Waterfalls
- Explore the historic Elephant Caves
- Visit Karatu’s colorful local market
Dinner & Overnight: Octagon Lodge – Karatu
Meal Plan: Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
Days 3: Full-Day Safari - Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Explore the crater floor, home to over 30,000 animals including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, and the rare black rhinoceros. Enjoy your picnic lunch inside the crater surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
In the late afternoon,return to Karatu.

Day 4: Return to Arusha
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Arusha. Drop-off at your hotel or at Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward travel.
